Riding Lessons
Sandi teaches riders of all levels using a combination of classical dressage and natural horsemanship to develop a strong foundation for any discipline. Complete horsemanship entails many areas of development beyond actual horseback riding. Lessons may also include ground work, fitting of tack, evaluation of horse, correct bandaging, horse health care and management, as needed. $60.00 per private hour at The Powder Forest; $65 per private hour at Galloway Farms. For lessons off-site, travel fee applies.
Training
Lesson/training packages with board are available, and can be customized for your needs.
Sandi is currently accepting horses for advanced training. For starting young horses using natural horsemanship, Sandi recommends Lorie Delk at Galloway Farms or Bonnie Martin at Gemara Farms.
Buying Assistance
Purchasing a new horse can be a daunting task: conformation, personality, size, color, age, experience, background, training, and health are all part of the decision process. Sandi is able to evaluate potential horses, alleviating much of the stress and time involved, and ensuring that you find the right horse for your needs. Travel fees and 10% commission fee apply.
Selling Assistance
Selling a horse can be challenging and time consuming. Drawing from a lifetime of experience in the horse industry, Sandi is able to promote your horse to the appropriate market and highlight the qualities that will draw the right buyers. Assessing possible buyers for compatibility is also an important aspect in placing your horse with the right person. If commissioned to sell your horse, 10% commission and advertising expenses apply.
Consultations
Consultations include all aspects of horse care, handling, health and tack fitting. If time does not allow me to answer all of your questions during your scheduled lesson hour, I will be happy to arrange a phone or in-person consultation. Fee at The Powder Forest is $5.00 per 15 minutes of consultation time. Fee off property is based on hour at $60.00 per hour plus travel fees.
